Reverse Circulation ( RC ) drilling yields a crushed sample rock cuttings. By using compressed air, samples transport back to surface in a continuous flow inside hollow inner tubes at fairly well determined depth in the hole. RC is the preferred method for initial exploration due to its high speed , efficiency and ability to provide accurate samples for inspection by geologists.
