Marmorok EC is Gemsa’s surface DTH drill rig, equipped with electric powered onboard air compressor , is designed especially for local marble quarries and also suitable for granite and limestone. Rig is build as a high production anchor and capable of taking on the most demanding projects and also complying with all important safety standards. It is based on proven and tried technology with simple design, which ensures continuous and uninterrupted operation ,even in the harshest conditions.

Rig build with frame parts ST52 -S355J2H is a hot-finished, non-alloy, fine grain steel , making it suitable for heavy-duty applications. Impact resistance: S355J2H exhibits good toughness and impact resistance, which is important for structures subjected to dynamic loads. Compliance with standards: It conforms to the European standard EN 10210, ensuring consistent quality and performance.

Gemsa design three wheel drive system, Rig can move quickly and steady over the most rough terrain , has greater maneuverability. Ease of relocating the drills between drill sites. For long tramming on site , gearboxes have manual brake release, and gives advantage for towing purpose.

Traction can control from back operator standing platform and near drill control panel gives advantage to position rig for drilling.

The powerful DEUTZ diesel engine gives smooth and vibration-free operation with low noise and emission level, featured with high torque. Rig can also work with 22 kW electric motor. Operator can use diesel or electric power for tramming and drilling functions according to site conditions and for fuel economy.

On Marmorok EC , air compressor driven by 55 kW (73.7hp) new generation electric motor consume low electric energy while drilling.

Marmorok EC has optional dust collector system to reduces the impact on the surrounding environment while lowering running costs.

System cleans each filter independently and continuously during the drilling operation. The suction capacity remains regardless of drill rod length and rock conditions.

During drilling sequence the stopper valves are open to let air through the filters and reach the required suction. On certain intervals one valve closes and a short air pulse is introduced in the closed filter section to clean the filter. After the clean-sing sequence both valves are open again until the next clean-sing sequence comes in action on next filter.
